Feeling blue and grey

Early morning sky is grey, makes me feel a little bit blue. Resisted the temptation to pull my blanket and lie in bed the whole day...

The rain starts early today, not the heavy, lightning and thunder type that we had in the evenings. Just a steady drizzles that soak the earth....I dont have to water the plants, thats my first thought!

The garden looks gloomy and grey with flowers and leaves drenched in water droplets

Though I love when it rains in the morning, I could just curl up in bed daydreaming, it dampens the mood today, just a tinge of blue/grey feeling.....

making my round in the garden, spotted roellias looking blue and drenched in the rain...

a lone weed with a tiny blue flower looking so lonely and shivering in the rain..

though soaked to its roots, morning glory still look pretty amazing even in the rain...

same goes for these miniature morning glory...

poor ants clinging for their dear lives under the wet stems and blooms of the long bean vines...

Having a touch of blue today like me?.....The rain has finally stopped, though the mood has not lifted, better pull my warm blanket and lie down for a while. Or maybe I could just drop in on Katarina's Roses and Stuff and see whether she's also feeling blue today!

es it's a touch of blue day today here as well. Steady soaking rain almost all day, overcast dreary grey skies and no chance of getting out into the garden for any length of time! While the temps have dropped a little here, it's nowhere near time for a blanket just yet ... our Autumn is not all that cool!

Lovely photos ... the Morning Glory really does brighten the mood and your raindrop soaked Ruellias make a great shot!

I dream about having a house close to a river. We have a plot in Pantai Remis adjacent to Sungai Bruas, but it is a little bit too far from everyone else. That's the blue I am having right now.. aha.
Wet here is little compared to quake and tsunami friends in japan are experiencing right now. Lovely flowers you display here.... CHEERS.

Rainfield..temptation is so great when it rains in the morning like today, to crawl under the blanket and sleep as late as possible!

Hi Linda, thank you. It was so lovely to see your traditional Thai wedding photo. You told me you built a house there, how wonderful..so Happy holidays to you!

Yes Bangchik so sad and shocking to see how devastating and damaging the tsunami in Japan after what happened in Acheh a few years ago! I think its worst. You are moving again after all the set up you made and all those lovely healthy plants in Tanah Merah? Sayang la nak tinggal semua tu..

Yes Autumn Belle the rain these few days created havoc on vulnerable little seedlings. Thank you for the compliment..supermodel plant? I dont know if I deserved it since I didnt do anything but just clicking my cheap camera!

Birgitta, the weather nowadays are quite weird sometimes. Anyway glad that the sun came out at your place today to give a little respite from the cold snow, giving a little hint that Spring is coming soon!

Thank you Laura for the compliment, you lift up my spririt! Do drop by again!

Rain brings so many emotions with it. Some days I am happy to get a warm rain but then the cold winter rains make me want to stay in bed. Your photos of the raindrops on the blooms are super!

It's always great to take pictures after the rain...everything is clean and fresh. The plants look satisfied and not wanting.

I like the different shades of blue from the different flowers.

I am sorry you are feeling sad, I hope it will pass soon. I see a lot of beauty in your pictures, I hope it will cheer you up a bit.

Lovely blue blooms . . . your photographs too. I wish I would just pull up the blanket and stay in bed longer some days. Being blue can be good sometimes, for it makes the brighter days more cheery! I hope you have a sunny weekend!

I am a little blue about the situation in Japan. And the landscape around me here is various shades of gray. So your amazing photos of flowers gave me some joy! Especially the image of the Morning Glory -- wow, that one...with the water droplets and the iridescent rainbow colors is a show-stopper. Thanks for cheering me up!

Nice shots...I can just imagine you flitting from flower to flower, your slippered feet getting cold from the wet grass. But it was worth the early morning expedition, wasn't it, to get these lovely images!

Don't have to water the plants when it rains, that's always my first thoughts, but then the ones under the porch needs to be watered... sigh... nak curi tulang pun tak boleh! Lovely blue blooms.

Gunilla, thank you. Looking forward to your blooming garden again soon!

Thanks Karin, I guess the gloomy weather has me feeling a little bit blue but after reading all your comments here, Im cheering up again!

You are right Helen, I just love the smell of the garden after it rains...smell of cut grass so fresh and clean!

Thank you Masha, Im my old self again after two days of bright sunny weather!

Im cheerful and up and about again after such a bad weather that day! Thank you Carol.

Thanks Beth, the blue morning glory never fail to brighten up my garden even on rainy days. But of course everyone is so sad and concerned about the whole situation in Japan...such a catastrophic disaster!

Rosie, I did get myself a bit wet that day looking for blue flowers that day! Luckily I didnt get myself sick though..Thank you.

Joy, that was my thought too. But I didnt have to water the plants under my small porch, the tempias of the rain did that for me!

I was just thinking how glorious my morning can be if I grow morning glory next spring on the garden arch.

I switch on the lights on the gloomy days. It uplifts my spirit. I love green and color of flowers in between.

I love the rain. It makes me wanna lie a bit longer instead of waking up to work.

The rain also takes off the task of watering the plant from me. Ha ha...I know I am lazy, skipping this task. But once in awhile, it's nice to have someone taking over. Let the blue slip away! The rain makes you appreciate the sun more!!

By the way, wanna let you know that I love that water features you have in your garden! It makes me wanna go out to get one right now!!

Rainy days are grey, but they help to take good pictures of blooms and leaves with those charming water drops. We have a lot of rains here. I need some sun!

sometimes the rain comes as a blessing in watering my garden but at times, it really spoil my mood to go out or do my gardening.
I still feel we got too much rain..
rain in the morning, rain in the evening and causing lot of traffic jam and delays.

p3chandan said...

Diana, I think morning glory should be lovely climbing your arch especially when it blooms profusely!

FusionTea thanks..I guess thats one way to chase the blues and lift up your spirit!

I agree with you on that JC, just cuddle in your warm blanket cos the rain is watering your garden. Thank you JC...go get one for your garden, its very therapeutic having a water feature!

Tatyana, I love the rain but too much is definitely not good for the garden. Its scorching hot here and raining in the evenings.

Thanks Malar, I love the blue flower of the weed and so cute too!

James, I agree with you on that. Malaysia is famous for its traffic jams after the rain!

It's raining also here since the last 3 days, but we still are at the threshold of spring. We'll have to wait until late spring/summer to see such a blooming explosion...

The rain just started at my place now (it's 4.00pm). I was hoping for more sun today.

It's great to see all your seedling. I hope they will grow fine. Have a fantatic weekend!
