Blooming Day

The sun is scorching hot right now, the evenings will see some respite with rain. Such an ideal condition for flowers to bloom, showing their happy bright colours in my garden!

The portulacas seem a happy lot, all smiling and showing their blooms to others. We are here..we are here!

Three of my hibiscus are taking centre stage too, singing along full of pride of their big showy blooms!

Lantanas not to be left out are perking their necks up with sweet pretty blooms...hey look at us!

What a glorious array of colour - it will be months before my garden in the UK can boast such vibrancy. I think that is what I love most about GBBD, the peek into other seasons via gardens from across the world.

Beautiful blooms here, love the white hibiscus...your ginger might be "Hidden Ginger" Curcuma petiolata....I'd have to see the bloom, you can look it up though :).

Caroline...portulacas are easy to grow but a bit tedious if want a good bushy groundcover. But its worth all the hard work when you see them blooming in the morning!

Donna thanks for dropping by, hibiscus is our National Flower.

Webb..we have summer all year round! Portulacas are great for brightening up you borders or planters, I love them too when they are mixed together.

Donna, when we have summer all year round, we are envious of you having the 4 seasons and those plants that cant be grown here!

Bangchik, the cheery blooms brighten up the garden and lift up the spirit...quite therapeutic.

I think it must be nice to have hot weather. We have been having some spring days which are bringing out the blooms but I am looking forward to the heat. I love your hibiscus and and lantana. Enjoy your sunny days!

Carolyn, the white hibiscus having a blooming time since last 2 weeks and it never stop yet! But they dont last very long only for a day!

Now im cutting down flower plants but having more veggies and fruit plants in the garden, but after seeing your beautiful flowers, very geram la!
